- The Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs proposed to establish Anti-Human Trafficking Units in 50% of the districts in the country. As instructed by the Government of India, 2 (two) Anti-Human Trafficking Units (AHTU) have been established in Mizoram at Aizawl District and Lunglei District.
- The Superintendent of Police CID (Crime) was appointed as state Anti-Human Trafficking Nodal Officer by Police Headquarters, Mizoram vide order No.CB/PHQ/C/307/ 2010/75 Dt. 02/11/2010; the email ID of the Nodal Officer is firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Police Headquarters appointed Addl. SsP or Dy. SsP as Anti-Human Trafficking Nodal Officers in their respective district, vide order No. CB/PHQ/C/307/08/311 dt.12/07/2010.
Establishment of Anti-Human Trafficking Units (AHTU):Ministry of Home Affairs(MHA), Government of India has sanctioned Rs.15.16 lakhs for establishment of Anti Human Trafficking Unit in Mizoram and the fund was released to Government of Mizoram and received by Police Headquarters, Mizoram. (Vide. MHA letter No. 6/1/2010 – NEI(V) dt 30.07.2010). The fund was utilised for establishing 2 (two) Anti – Human Trafficking Unit in Mizoram viz – Aizawl District and Lunglei District.
